How it works
We multiply your hourly rate by hours worked per week and weeks worked per year to get your annual gross pay (or divide the other direction if you start from an annual salary), then divide that annual figure into the standard US pay-period lengths.
Example:$25/hour at 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year equals $52,000/year, or about $2,000 biweekly and $4,333 monthly — all before taxes and deductions.
FAQ
Biweekly means you're paid every two weeks (26 paychecks/year), while semi-monthly means twice a month on fixed dates like the 15th and last day (24 paychecks/year). Biweekly paychecks are slightly smaller but two months a year have three paychecks instead of two.
